Dear Birth Parents,
We have had a really hard time trying to decide how to start this. There are so many things to say and so many things we want to know about you, as well as things we want you to know about us. The fact that you are reading this right now makes us so happy because it means that you are considering giving us the greatest gift that we will ever receive. We admire you and have the utmost respect for the decision you’re making. We know that these last few months must be very hard for you. The decision that you are making requires so much bravery. We have come to know that adoption is part of Heavenly Father’s plan for us and that it is the only way that we will experience the wonderful joys that come with having a family.
About a year after we got married, we started trying to get pregnant. We realized that Heavenly Father has a different plan for us. After adopting our little boys, Brecken and Gracen, we knew adoption was our way to happiness. We have had so much joy being parents and that is why we are so excited to become adoptive parents again.
We are not the only ones excited to get another baby! We know that Brecken and Gracen will love being big brothers to their new brother or sister. Brecken absolutely loves to play with other kids and he adores babies! He is so gentle with his stuffed animals and buddies that are babies. Giving hugs and kisses and making sure they are always a part of the fun! He will welcome his new brother or sister with open arms!! Gracen is such a social butterfly and is definitely a people person. He even loves when we go to the grocery store or shopping because there are so many people around for him to wave and smile to. He makes everyone feel as if they are his favorite! He will have so much love for a little brother or sister.
Brecken and Gracen’s birth parents have a very special place in our hearts and we look forward to creating another special place in our hearts for you. We had a very positive experience with our first adoptions being more open and would consider that again if that is something you would like. We long for the day to tell our next child about their first earthly parents and the tremendous amount of love that it took for you to allow him or her to be a part of our family. We look forward to telling your baby about the journey that brought our lives together.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know more about us. We look forward to getting to know more about you also. We can't wait to experience the miracle of adoption again!
Best wishes and much love,
Nathan, Rachel, Brecken and Gracen
Our Story
Nathan and Rachel met on a blind date in October of 2003. Nathan proposed on New Years Eve and we were married April 30th of 2004. Yep, we only knew each other for 6 months before we were married! Even more surprising is that we dated long distance for those 6 months. We lived 250 miles apart. We did talk on the phone every day and traveled to see each other every other weekend! We have been married for 5 years(the end of April)! We love to do anything outdoors and love to play the piano and guitar. We have two adopted baby boys and a baby girl whose adoption is in progress! We love our adoption experiences and can't wait for our next!
